Parsley tea is used to settle the stomach after a meal. The tea is also used to treat congestion caused by flu and colds, to lessen asthma attacks, for kidney and liver obstructions, anemia, heals urinary tract, and helps a swollen prostate. It is a cancer preventative; lowers blood pressure; gentle laxative; tonic for blood and circulatory system. In Spain they have found that feeding parsley to sheep will bring them into heat at any time of year!

It is often used to treat urinary infections and fluid retention. A few sprigs eaten fresh is a boost to the body, as it provide 2/3 the vitamin C of an orange, lots of vitamin A, and the important amino acid histidine, which is a tumor inhibitor. It also freshens the breath after eating fresh garlic and encourages milk production for nursing mothers.

One cup of parsley to 1 quart of water makes a strong tea. Two cups of parsley to 1 quart of water, steep an hour and drink warm, as an aphrodisiac.

Do not use high doses during pregnancy; mild doses are diuretic but large doses congest the uterus.
