Couch Grass, also called Quack Grass is high in nutritional value. It is used to treat urinary tract infections as well as colds, fevers, and bronchitis. Being boiled and drank, it opens obstructions of the liver and gallbladder, and eases the griping pain of the abdomen. The roots bruised and applied, speed the healing of wounds. The seed promotes the expulsion of urine, and stops vomiting. The distilled water alone, or with a little wormseed, kills intestinal worms in children.
